Ukrainian in CORE: As she is our Marketing and Communications Specialist, you can imagine how many hours Tania spends on preparing for presentations, speaking with people, answering questions. But the Internet is not only her job, it is following her everywhere, see how. Here she is sharing her personal inspirations, motivations aaand some advices: 

.САЙТ and .ОНЛАЙН domains: Is the path from the Ukraine to Bulgaria long? Tell us, please, how the Internet have helped you to find the answer.

Tetiana Ivanova: Hi! The way maybe was not so long, but definitely unexpected… at least, for me 🙂
Indeed, I can say the Internet led me to Bulgaria and changed my personal and professional life. 5 years ago I lived in the Ukraine and had vague idea about Bulgaria, but one online chat have changed everything. Accidentally, I have met a guy from Bulgaria… a month later he invited me to visit the Bulgarian seaside and only 10 more days after our meeting he asked me to marry him. One month later we already were married. I know, it sounds absurd and even irresponsible, but probably it was my destiny and I do not regret it happened that way. Sometimes I wonder what would happened with me if there was no Internet… Well, it exists! 🙂

.САЙТ and .ОНЛАЙН domains: Let’s move on from the personal to the professional topics… What brought you on the marketing field?

Tetiana Ivanova: I mentioned before – the Internet had impact not only on my personal, but also on my professional life. After receiving my Masters degree in Environment science I worked as an ecologist at different industrial enterprises in Ukraine. But then came the moment to move to Bulgaria, so I left everything. Coming here, I didn’t know any word in Bulgarian, so firstly I needed to learn the language and after that also many other things… It was not easy, but interesting.

Starting fresh I wanted to try something new in the professional field as well. I received many proposals related to promotions, so I turned my attention to the marketing area and in my opinion this was right. I really like what I do. Everyday there is something new, something challenge, it helps me to study constantly, to improve my skills, to evolve myself non-stop.

As a marketing specialist I have worked with a variety products – from building materials to domain names, but everywhere the most important and interesting thing for me was the opportunity to meet people of different ages, professions, interests… Everyone of them teaches me something. Now, working in quite specific area – for the new project “the Cyrillic domains .сайт и .онлайн”, I have the opportunity to use my previous experience and to experiment with new ideas. The cause, which our domains support – Internet in Cyrillic – inspires me even more. To be involved in the creation of something that is changing the world – it’s great!

.САЙТ and .ОНЛАЙН domains: Please, tell us more about your first encounter with the domain’s world, CORE and our team.

Tetiana Ivanova: To be honest, getting the job in CORE Association I had no idea how big this organization is. I was surprised to learn that except .САЙТ and .ОНЛАЙН domains, CORE supports many other domain names, like .museum, .madrid, .gal, .eus, .scot, .mango, .sport. I do not deny – it was a pleasant surprise. This indicates that the company is developing and I’m glad to be part of it.

During my time in CORE I managed to learn a lot about the world of domains, meet interesting people, visit new places. One of my first travels was to Barcelona, where for first time I’ve met all of the CORE team. Barcelona itself is fantastic and definitely one of my favorite cities, but when the people (your colleagues) meet you as a family member… I think, this is the best for work motivation. In other words this meeting persuaded me, that I want to be part of this company and that I surely have ti visit one more time the famous Barcelona’s beaches and the Musical Fountains.

.САЙТ and .ОНЛАЙН domains: You already had a lot of presentations and articles where you introduce the Cyrillic domains .САЙТ and .ОНЛАЙН to the world. So what are their most important advantages?

Tetiana Ivanova: Yes, I work for the project “The Cyrillic domains .сайт and .онлайн” more than a year and because Russian is my mother language I mostly visit Russian-speaking countries explaining about all pluses of our domains.
I will not quote my presentations here, but I want to point that for the people who are proud of their authenticity, history and culture it is very important to have domains in their own language. The words “сайт” and “онлайн” are written and spelled the same way in 4 big countries – Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Bulgaria. It is important for us to give to the people in this countries the opportunity to create and to use websites on the Internet in their own language. This is one way to help people to leave a trace in history on their mother tongue, not to mention the fact that it gives them the opportunity to facilitate the usage of the Internet for themselves and for the visitors of their websites.
Moreover, the .САЙТ and .ОНЛАЙН domains are unique by the fact that whatever word you put in front of one of them – every time you get a complete domain name. You can try! 😉

.САЙТ and .ОНЛАЙН domains: But what are the people saying? What is the result at this moment?

Tetiana Ivanova: In Russia they already have an experience using Cyrillic domains, that is why they easily perceive our domains. But Ukraine is only at the beginning of this way and moreover Bulgaria and Belarus are as a blank sheet of paper for this kind of domains… but everything starts somewhere and that is why we are here 😉
At the moment there are already a lot of interesting websites with our domains and I must confess it is very pleasant to get feedbacks, like “thank you CORE Association for the great idea to create a simple and beautiful domains”.

Of course, the content is not ready on all f them, but we are doing everything we can to become the domains .САЙТ and .ОНЛАЙН as accessible as possible for our consumers.

.САЙТ and .ОНЛАЙН domains: In order to meet many people and to talk to them face to face you are traveling a lot. Give us some advices — what is the best way to pack our luggage, what is that we have to look for especially traveling in countries using the Cyrillic alphabet?

Tetiana Ivanova: Oh, I know why you are asking about that 🙂 Based on my own experience I can advise all travelers – keep your documents in hand and never put them in the suitcase. One more thing, if you carry any liquids in your suitcase – pack them well in plastic sheets and between soft clothing, because once I had to wash all of my clothes and the suitcase because of a broken jar of honey aand I even do not like honey!
As for traveling to a “Cyrillic” country, you should not worry about it – the people there are friendly and sympathetic, even despite the fact that many of them don’t speak English… But with the help of gestures you will perfectly understand each other. Just one tip to add: if you are in Russia and do not speak Russian you would better not use the phrase “не понимаю” (transl. “do not understand”), because if you say it no one will believe you anymore that you really do not understand Russian!

.САЙТ and .ОНЛАЙН domains: The social networks are already full of vacationer’s pictures. Now is summer. So, how do you relax?
Tetiana Ivanova: I like the nature very much and if I have free time I spend it with pleasure in the woods, in the mountains or at the sea. Fortunately, the Bulgarian nature is unique, I have never met such a beauty anywhere.

But this summer my heart is in Ukraine. Because I am from the city of Luhansk, where the military actions are conducted now. I can’t stop thinking how beautiful is there when everything is in bloom, but how many unique places are destroyed until now. I would like to go there and I hope soon I will have this opportunity and will find my homeland still beautiful and blooming, but not in ruins.

.САЙТ and .ОНЛАЙН domains: What would you wish to yourself, CORE and the Cyrillic Domains .САЙТ and .ОНЛАЙН?

Tetiana Ivanova: I wish to the members of my family to stay alive and healthy and to me – to have the strength and the inspiration to work and create more and more, to visit new places and to meet new people!

To the CORE Association I wish to keep growing taking more and more projects!

And the .САЙТ и .ОНЛАЙН domains I wish to multiply and to develop so quick that soon they not be behind their “Latin” brothers and to be able to take a deserved place in the domains world as well as in the hearts of the customers!
